International Conferences on Agricultural & Food Science (2017 ICAFS) and Biotechnology and Bioengineering (7th ICBB) were held at Virtual University of Pakistan, M.A Jinnah Campus Lahore. Large number of national educationist and delegates from USA, Canada, China, Japan, Nigeria, Sudan, Turkey, Jorden, Malaysia and Jammu & Kashmir participated in these mega events. These conferences provided a unique forum where innovative developments in Agricultural and Food Biotechnology, Animal Science & Biotechnology, Plant Science & Biotechnology, Food Science & Nutrition, Agricultural Resources, Environment & Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture Sustainable, Economic and Management issues were exchanged and discussed by all stakeholders. Prof. Dr. Saeed Akhtar, President, Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute & Research Centre graced the event as chief guest for 2017 ICAFS & 7th ICBB. Mr. Guangfu Yan from Asia-Pacific Association of Science, Engineering and Technology (APASET), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sarwar, Vice Chancellor, Gomal University, Dera Ismail Khan, Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf Shakoori, Director, School of Biological Sciences, University of the Punjab , Prof. Dr. Kausar Abdulla Malik, Dean of Postgraduate Studies, F.C. College Lahore , Dr. Noor Ul Islam, Chief Executive Punjab Agricultural Research Board Lahore, Dr. Johar Ali, member Animal Sciences, Pakistan Agricultural Research Council Islamabad and renowned educationists from different countries were the guest of honour. Dr. Naveed A Malik, Rector Virtual University of Pakistan inaugurated the conferences. In his inaugural address, he warmly welcomed the delegates from all over the world. He further said that Faculty of Science and Technology at Virtual University of Pakistan has continuously been involved in organizing the International and National Conferences, Seminars and Workshops. This event is the successful continuation of this tradition and another feather in the cap. He appreciated the efforts of Prof. Dr. Masroor Ellahi Babar, Dean Faculty of Science and Technology, and his team. Total of 70 poster presentations and 50 research papers were presented in the event. Renowned scientists across the world presented their research work and plenary talks in event.
