Scenario:
PepsiCo, Inc. was established through the merger of Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay; whereas, Pepsi-Cola was created in the late 1890s by Caleb Bradham. Pepsi-Cola is among the top notch beverage brands of the world which is exceedingly consumed and greatly liked by the kids, youth and elders etc.
Very recently, PepsiCo Pakistan organized a wonderful and cheerful evening event at the SOS children’s village in Lahore as a part of “Lighting up Lives” socially responsible campaign. Volunteers from PepsiCo Pakistan took part in organizing that event very actively and proficiently. The basic aim of this campaign was to bring the ‘gift of light’ through solar powered LED lamps installed in Pepsi bottles to serve the needy communities across Pakistan. There were several activities conducted in this event which were organized by the volunteers including an art competition in which 70 resident children of the village took part. The basic aim of this competition was to encourage creativity and appreciate the children’s innovative and artistic skills. The children created fascinating sculptures using Pepsi-Cola bottles, and the top three scorers were awarded with different prizes. The senior management of PepsiCo, SOS Children’s Village Foundation and the volunteer team for the “Lighting up Lives” campaign attended this remarkable event. Khurram Shah, Head Corporate Affairs of PepsiCo, commended the children and their enthusiasm and high spirits.
